MR. WILSON SOMMER, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Wilson Sommer was born and raised, right here, in Brooksville, Florida. He’s a proud graduate of Hernando High School. He went on to get a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from University of South Florida. He went back to school to receive a Masters in Educational Leadership from St. Leo University.
Wilson has worked for the Hernando County School District since 2011. He taught for six years at Central High School before transitioning back to his elementary roots transferring to Eastside Elementary School for 4 years. Before becoming the Assistant Principal at BES, he spent two years as an ESE Specialist for the district at Westside Elementary School.
When not at work he enjoys exploring Florida, cruising to various ports of call, and enjoying food with friends and family. He’s excited to start this new adventure as part of the BES family and can’t wait to see where it leads!
